The Effects of Air Pollution

I will be focusing my paper on air pollution. Air pollution has many contributing factors to it, many of the factors are of what we use in a normal day of life. The air is polluted by anything that exerts of smoke or gases of combustion. Any car that releases carbon monoxide out of the exhaust is harming the environment. Cars are not the only automobile that is harming the air, many of the bigger vehicles, such as buses and semis, exert way more carbon monoxide than a car does. Smokestacks are a major factor contributing to air pollution. The smokestacks release very harmful chemicals into the sky. These harmful chemicals are depleting the ozone. Humans aren’t the only cause of air pollution, the Earth itself helps cause it too; volcanoes and wildfires are some leading factors caused by the Earth. For my paper I will be discussing what effects air pollution has on the United States. I will state my reasoning as why these toxins that go into the air are harmful to our environment. All of the carbon monoxide that is released into the air is contributing to global warming. Global warming is a growing problem in this day and age.

  1. I agree that air pollution is a major problem in the U.S. Automobiles are indeed a major contributor to the problem. In fact the World Health Organization has recently reported that 7 million people die each year from air pollution.
