This image shows both an external and internal view of each of the three types of cardiovascular systems I will be discussing: mammals, amphibians/reptiles, and fish. I will address the similarities and differences between the three systems; anatomy of each system, how each one functions, and finally the advantages and disadvantages of each.
I chose to research various cardiovascular systems because I found cardiology to be the most interesting topic in medicine. Prior to moving to Ohio to attend KSU I worked for 2 years at the Naval hospital in Guam. I was assigned to the ICU but I was always drawn to cardiology and whenever I had down time at work I would sneak over to the cardiology and respiratory clinics. Eventually I was transferred to the Internal Medicine department and worked with and aided 6 doctors in the cardiology and respiratory clinics.

Comparing the cardiovascular systems across vertebrata should give some great comparisons on how animals function.
really cool back story. would have never thought about different cardiovascular systems, great choice!
